18 bc GST too much coercive

Dear Editor,
The levying of GST slabs as high as 18 or 28 percent on Telecom & T.V usage by the people of our country is irrational and coercive as well. The union government has constituted a committee ministers of all states under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister to have a review and undertake reformatory measures to make GST system more acceptable and humantarian, unfortunately the committee has not so far reviewed the levying of GST at such a high rate of whopping 18 percent on above mentioned items as use of mobile or land line a necessity for phones or Television cable or DTH services has become almost every house hold irrespective of their economic status. Even the labour class use such equipments to maintain connectivity and for entertainment as well.
It is high time that levying GST at such a highest rate of 18 per cent is irrational and tormenting for the middle class as well as poorer sections of society. In order to save them from such a huge burden on their meagre earnings is required to be reviewed and slashed to at least @ 5 percent if not it is waived off completely by the union government.
