Aadhaar training programme organises at Leh

LEH, Mar 11: With a view to giving a push to the Aadhaar enrolment in Leh district, a two-day training programme for Aadhaar, officials/operators of Leh was organised on 10th and 11th March which concluded today.
Experts from UIDAI were deputed to Leh for imparting the training for the officials and operators of Leh and Kargil districts. Apart from fourteen moving ICDS enrolment operators who will enroll children upto five years of age, two centres for the general public will be operated in J&K Bank branches, one Aadhaar enrolment centre with Department of Post in Leh and four centres with School Education Department. All the enrolment centres will be operational within a week’s time.
Saugat Biswas, Secretary, IT Department, who is also Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh informed that in addition another six machines will become operational in the ICDS department shortly whose services will be available in the far off areas of Leh. He also informed that the district administration will facilitate Aadhaar enrolment camps in needy areas in some time.
The training was supervised by Addl. District Development Commissioner, Leh, Moses Kunzang.
Around thirty officials from Banks, Department of Post and School Education and ICDS attended the training programme at Leh. They will work as Aadhaar Operators to resolve different issues concerning various Registrars of Aadhaar. Today, the expert of UIDAI conducted day long training to the ICDS officials.
