‘Dalitbahujans should safeguard their constitutional rights provided in constitution’

Dr BR Ambedkar remembers across state

KATHUA, Apr 14: 128th Birth Day anniversary was celebrated of Father of Indian Constitution Bharat Rattan Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar across state by different organisations.
At Kathua, the leaders of socio-religious, retired employees forum, unemployed youth/students and women wings of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA)while deliberating castigated both State and Central government for slowly and steadily diluting constitutional provisions for SC,ST,OBCs.
They also criticized government for making RBI, CBI, ECI and other constitutional bodies as puppets., requested the government to look into the welfare measures as enshrined in the constitution and safeguard them from the clutches of bureaucrats & judiciary.
Dr Sanjay Bhasin while speaking on the occasion said that Babasaheb Ambedkar and his thoughts have become a phenomenon in itself in Indian social, religious, economic as well as political realms. Dr. Ambedkar as on date have become a necessity for every political party as the Dalitbahujans have accepted Babasaheb as their true emancipator and they can even sacrifice their life on the name of Babasaheb. But in view of India’s unique social order a counter revolution is going on in the country to subjugate the constitutional rights of Dalitbahujans and defeat the very basic principles of constitutions as envisioned by the father of Indian Constitution.
He further said that there is dire need for social unity of SCSTOBC & Religious minorities to carve the nefarious designs of the micro minority of this country. Babasaheb believed in both social and political democracy to achieve equality in social, educational, economic and political spheres of life to make Indian an Egalitarian society.
Rajinder Kashyap (Joint Secretary, GOI, Ministry of Justice) while speaking on the occasion said that Phule-Ambedkar social mission of education, unity, fraternity, liberty and religious reforms if adopted in principle can take India to new heights as a developed and strong nation.
Those present included Romesh Kumar and vote of thanks was extended by Er Joginder Pal, Prof. G L. Thapa, Er Pawan Bhagat, Brij Rana, MR Bangotra, Dr Subash Thappa, Dr Soami Saran, Er Surinder Dewagowda, Er Rajesh Bhagat, Girdhari Lal, Manoj Kumar, represented the state executive of JKRCEA.
At Jammu, while paying tribute to Baba Sahib, State President Confederation R K Kalsotra apprised the gathering that in 1954 on Oct 27 while addressing the masses at Jalandhar, Baba Sahib Ambedkar said when he came from England after getting his degree of Doctor of Philosophy, there was nobody in India with such qualification.
He declined all tempting offers of Government jobs because he had a great feeling for the service of his community. He further said while in Congress Govt. he remained true to his people. His critics pointed out that he had joined the Congress. He explained that he remained like a rock which does not melt but turns the course of rivers.
He apprised that there were 30 SC MPs but they never asked any question and never submitted a bill for consideration in the Parliament, giving impression to the outside world that the people have no problems and they do not require any special consideration. He also said, he built the house for us. Now it is up to us to maintain it in proper order.
He has planted the tree, if we water it we will enjoy the fruits and it's shade. If not, we will have to sit in the sun and our community will be ruined. Kalsotra appealed to the community to come forth and strengthen the Confederation to complete the unfinished work of Baba Sahib for the welfare of the prople.

Speaking on the occasion, RL Kaith said Bab Saheb Ambedkar campaigned against the Indian caste system. He became a convert to Buddhism and is seen as a driving force in the surge of converts that saw many thousands of lower caste members become Buddhists.
He was the first untouchable of India to pursue a college degree. He earned a law degree and doctorates for his studies in law, economics and political science, gaining a reputation as a scholar and campaigning for political rights and social freedom for the lowest in the caste system, untouchables in 1927. He organised and led a march at Mohad, Maharashtra that eventually helped established equal rights for untouchables.
Ramesh Kumar Kaith further said it is matter of pride for us that after being honoured with ‘Bharat Ratna’, Baba Saheb Ambedkar has been voted as the ‘Greatest Indian’ by a poll organised by History TV18 and CNN IBN. Nearly 20 million votes were cast, making him the most popular Indian figure since the launch of the initiative.
Darshan Lal Motan described Baba Saheb Ambedkar as an able Indian jurist, politician, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, economist and principal architect of the Constitution of India.
During the programme, the organisation members presented the ‘Medals of Honour’ to Municipal Councillor Krishan Lal Kaith, Ex Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal Lakhotra and Ramesh Lal Motan for promoting ideology of Baba Sahib Ambedkar.
At Vijaypur): Rich tributes were paid to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar by various political, social, trade, youth and other organizations on his 128th birth anniversary.
While highlighting the biography of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar said that everyone would know that Babasahib had written the constitution of the country.
He taught the people of the oppressed, dalit society and backward classes to live with dignity. Today, those who are dalit and backward classes in the country are living with respect to the people. But once again efforts are being made to break apart from them. Which we will not allow to happen and we will not even scatter your unity. Together we all take a resolution on the birthday of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar that he will endeavor to fulfill his incomplete dream.
Rakesh Kumar said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a erudite person. He touched the heights in difficult situations and gave directions for the nation to pursue. On this occasion, Sanjeev said that in different types of adverse conditions, Ambedkar had passed the primary examination.
Dr Ambedkar possessed a rich knowledge of the subjects of law, history, philosophy, theology, human anthropology etc. Rakesh, Rinku, Rishabh, Ashok and Ravi were present on this occasion.
