Sports awareness camp organizes at GHSS Moungri

JAMMU, May 11: Shiv Kumar Sharma former Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Jammu who is also a prominent sports promoter, social activist President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra (Regd.) organize a one day Sports awareness camp at Government Higher Secondary School Moungri in District Udhampur in connection with the promotion of sports activities amongst the youth of the for flung and hilly area.
The programme was mainly focused on the sports activities and its scope in the society. Sharma delivered a lecture of 15 minutes duration. The lecture was very interesting and fruitful in addition he also imparted the moral values importance in day today life which is lacking in the society.
On the occasion outstanding students in the sports and culture field namely Vishal Bhagat (Volleyball), Yash pal ( Kabaddi). Varsha and Mamta (Culture ) were honoured by the Chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma by presenting Mata Ki Chunni and Juice. Sharma focused on the career prospects in the fields of sports among girls and boys.
Advocate Swatanter Dev Kotwal, Recipient of President Medal, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur delivered a lecture on the occasion and sensitized the students about the moral values and drugs abuse in detail Shiv Sharma appealed to Director General Youth services and sports Dr Saleen -ur- Rehman, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla, Joint Director Jammu, Madan Lal and District youth services and sports officer Kharti lal Sharma to provide two physical teacher (PET) at Government higher Secondary School Moungri on priority basis as the students of this institution are suffering due to the vacancy since long.
Welcome address was presented by incharge Principal Baldev Singh in the beginning of the Programme while the proceeding of the event were conducted by Swatanter Dev Kotwal and vote of thanks was extended by Sarpanch Hans Raj Thakur. The biscuits were distributed among the students of the school by incharge Principal Baldev Singh admired the efforts of Shiv Kumar Sharma and he requested him to visit the school again.
Those present on the occasion included Ashwani Katoch, Principal Amba Kids School Panthal, Naib Sarpanch Moungri Shamsher Singh, veteran prominent Wrestlers Kartar Singh, Balbir Singh, Jai Pakash Singh and other all school staff members.
