Religious scholar booked for sensitive remarks in Rajouri

JAMMU, May 21: Police authorities have booked a religious scholar for making sensitive remarks during a religious congregation in Rajouri.
The issue came to fore when a video went viral on a social media page namely 'Awaaz News' in which religious scholar Moulana Mohammad Farooq was seen delivering his address during a religious congregation prayer.
In video, the said religious scholar was heard making some sensitive comments having potential to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Rajouri.
Taking note of it, case FIR No. 285/2019 u/s 153-A RPC & 66 IT Act registered in Rajouri police station and said person has been booked and arrested.
Police authorities are also mulling legal action against the social media page admin on which the said video was uploaded.
