Top priority to be given to employees welfare: Gangwar

NEW DELHI, July 7: While talking to the Co-Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu Region (PHDCCI) and President Hotel and Restaurant Association, Katra (HRAK) Rakesh Wazir here at New Delhi,Union Minister of state for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge) Santosh Gangwar said that top priority will be given to the welfare of employees and every step connected to that will be taken.
Earlier Wazir during his meeting with Gangwar besides congratulation him for his re-appoint as Minister discussed in detail the points pertaining to welfare of employees vis-e-vis steps with regard to the prospectus of the Business community.
Wazir while speaking on the occasion said that employees are the base of business and their welfare schemes should be implemented in such a way that employees get maximum benefit out of it and benefits of all major schemes of his Ministry including Employees State Insurance, Provident Fund etc. like free Medical facilities to the employees and their families, pay to the family of the employee in case of any eventuality etc. may reach to them and since the heath in private sector has developed in big way thus need of the hour is this that the empanelment of best private hospitals of country with ESIC be done at the earliest, so that employees registered with ESIC way get best treatment in best hospitals of the country.
He even discussed in detail the working of ESIC Hospital at Jammu and asked for opening of more such hospitals in state and even suggested that these hospitals or dispensaries can be opened with the collaboration of the local business community.
Wazir even appreciated the recently announced pension scheme for shopkeepers & farmers and said that it should be implemented at the earliest with increasing of its horizon to other sectors including service and other industries also.
Gangwar listened Wazir patiently and assured that sympathetic consideration would be given to each and every point.
