2 injured in Pak shelling in Poonch

POONCH, Jun 16: Two persons, including a girl, was injured in shelling by Pakistan after it resorted to unprovoked firing targeting forward Indian posts and the villages on the Line of Control in Shahpur sector of Poonch district.
Indian army too retaliated in equal measure.
Official sources said that Indian and Pakistan armies traded heavy fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur-Kerni sector of Poonch district on Sunday after the latter tragetted forward Indian posts and villages resulting into injuries to a girl and a man, both residents of Shahpur.
The sources said, “Pakistan army violated LoC ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked shelling and firing on Indian positions. Pakistan army targetted Indian positions in Kerni, Qasba in Shahpur sector and Mendhar in Poonch district. Indian positions retaliated effectively.”
“A man identified as Akbar Hussain son of Shah Mohammed, resident of Shahpur sustained injuries in Pak shelling. A girl of the same village also got injured. Her identity was being ascertained,” they added.
