Haryana CM's comments about Kashmiri girls are insensitive and expose the hate-filled mindset of Sangh Parivar

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar's remarks on Kashmir girls have not only drawn a flak from all over the country, but also invited condemnation from various quarters. His remarks are also controversial and sexist so far as bringing in brides from Kashmir and other places is concerned in view of the fact that the sex ratio of girl children in Haryana is skewed. His claim that notorious sex ratio of 850 girls against 1000 boys is highly imbalanced in the country and that his government's progressive policies have improved the sex ratio to 950 girls against 1000 boys in the last few years. It is highly doubtful that Haryana has achieved this feat of balancing the sex ratio in the state in less than four years of BJP-rule in the state. His joke that instead of having brides from Bihar or elsewhere in the country, now the brides will brought in from Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 provisions that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, his appeal that men from Haryana should also get ready to purchase property in Kashmir has also invited severe criticism from the women chief minister mainly Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal. Her observation that people holding high public office should restrain from making insensitive cosmments about the people of J&K. She is right in saying that these comments are hurtful not only for the people of J&K but also the entire country. If this is the training and indoctrination of the Sangh Parivar for its cadres in the country, then their hate campaign of region against another and discrimination based on regional basis is highly deplorable and exposes their mindset of hatefulness against the people of J&K and other diverse regions of the country. Already, the Tribals of central India and North Eastern Region are wary of the nefarious designs of the Sangh Parivar. The Tribals in almost all parts of the country are fighting for their rights and protection of their culture with constitutional guarantees.
Apart from this, this is not for the first time that such despicable comments have been made by men in power about J&K girls. Only a few days, another BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh made similar remarks about Kashmiri girls and the right wing party instead of backed him and did not take any action against him or Khattar. Such comments are not only despicable but also go against the spirit of the Constitution of India that grants equal rights to every citizen irrespective caste, creed, sex or region. This is also pitiable what Sangh Parivar training indoctrinates the mind of the weak, insecure and pathetic people. Such comments are also anti-thesis of what prime minister Narendra Modi is trying to reassure the people of J&K after removal of Article 370 provisions from the state while BJP CMs are making statements to the contrary. If such comments are made at functions to celebrate "Beti Bachao, Beti Padao" slogan of the central government, then it unfortunate that nothing positive is expected from such elements. It is unfortunate that by and large the abrogation of Article 370 provisions is being celebrated by the members of the Sangh Parivar while those impacted by such decisions are yet to understand what has happened with the decisions of the right wing party, ruling the roost in the corridors of power at New Delhi. It worthwhile to mention that instead of working for the welfare of the common masses in the country, the BJP-chief minister are more interested in making derogatory comments about the people of Kashmir. It is the hateful campaign being carried out in areas where the ideology of the right wing groups is rejected and rubbished for various reasons. The hate campaigns against other religions, Tribals and regions are going to do more harm and are dangerous to the country than anything else.
