Calliope School celebrates Janamashtami with religious fervour

JAMMU, AUG 24: The Calliope School Doomi celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour and great enthusiasm. The school organized special assembly to celebrate the joy and festivity of Janamashtami. Administrator Kiran Raina and Principal Sunita Raina threw light on the significance of the day and greeted everyone on the occasion.
The children were dressed up in colourful attires as Lord Krishna and Radha, wearing beautiful smiles on their faces. School Coordinator Priya Kohli highlighted the importance of Janamashtami. The event started with various performances which included dance performance by class 1st and 2nd, skit highlighting the true friendship of Sudhama and Sri Krishna by class 4th, Inter-house Jhula making by students of class 7th and 8th and flute decoration done by students of class 5th and 6th.
In Jhula making, Progress house stood first while Peace house and Courtesy house got second and third place respectively. In Inter-house kite flying by students of class 9th and 10th, Peace house clinched first position.
Chairperson Dr Aruna Suri highlighted the teachings of Lord Krishna and congratulated the staff and children for their wonderful performances.
Teachers Asha, Priyanka, Komal, Seema were also present.
Administrator Kiran Raina delivered vote of thanks. The event was coordinated and organised under the guidance of School coordinator Priya Kohli and PRO Bindu Banotra
