Education Deptt. organizes Painting competition

KATHUA, Sep 17: A district level Painting competition was held at Govt. High School Kathua. The Competition was organised by Chief Education Officer in pursuance of direction given by District Administration to organise awareness campaign under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Campaign in Kathua.
It is pertinent to mention that the winners of zonal level competitions were selected after conducting competition at zonal level in which 24 students participated and teams were finalized for the district level competition.
In the final competition Dhara Sudan from Govt. Hr. Sec. School girls (Kathua) zone Kathua secured first position.
The second position was secured by Shobha from Learnig Temple HSS Kathua while third position was achieved by Dinakshi Sharma from HSS Sallan.
Consolation prizes were awarded to Sudixit Mansotra from Kids Heaven HSS Kathua and Shallu Devi from HSS Budhi.
District Education and Planning Officer Kathua, Aruna Sharma also visited the venue and appreciated the students for their generous efforts. Headmaster of High School Parliwand supervised the event along with the faculty members of the institutions.
