Inter District Division Level Competition of Badminton & Softball begins

JAMMU, Sep 17: Inter District Division Level Competition of Badminton & Softball of all age groups for Boys got underway today at MA Stadium and GGM Science College Jammu.
The Department of Youth Services & Sports District Jammu has hosted Inter District Divisional Level Competitions in the sports disciplines of Badminton & Softball AAG Boys at different venues in Jammu.
The competitions are organised under the patronage of Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services & Sports J&K, Srinagar and under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu whereas Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports officer Jammu, is the Organising Secretary of the said competitions.
In all 06 Districts of Jammu Division are taking part in the competition at said venue. The teams of Jammu Division are struggling for their best in the competition to set the level of the next competition coming ahead. The Conveners, Technical Officials and Escorted officials remain present during the competition and watching closely for selection of players as per their performance.
The details: Softball Boys : U-19 yrs Boys: District Jammu beat District Kathua by 11-02 Home runs. U-17 Yrs Boys: District Jammu tie with District Kathua (Both Winners). U-14 Yrs Boys: District Kathua beat District Jammu by 08-02 Home runs.
Badminton Boys U-17 yrs: Semi final: District Udhampur beat District Samba by 2-0.District Jammu beat District Kathua by 2-0.
U-19 yrs Boys: Semi Final: District Poonch beat District Kathua by 2-1. District Udhampur beat District Jammu by 2-0.
Cricket U-19 yrs Boys Final: District Jammu beat District Ramban by 56 runs. Top Scorer Vinayak 49 runs.
The Matches were officiated by the Panel of experts of Cricket of Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
