4 HM supporters held in Kishtwar

JAMMU, Oct 3: Four over-ground workers of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terror outfit were arrested in ongoing search operation in Kishtwar district on Wednesday.
Police officials claimed that with these arrests, terror network of Hizbul was cracked and the operation to nab more people involved in revival of terrorism in twin districts of Doda-Kishtwar would go on.
In all, the number of militants and their supporters arrested went up to 16 in the crackdown on terror network by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the Army and the Police, police officials said.
Those arrested on Wednesday were identified as Manzoor Ahmed Ganie alias Qari son of Mushtaq Ahmed Ganie, a resident of Bunstan, Kishtwar, Noor Mohammad Malik alias Fayaz son of Abdul Razzak Malik resident of Phagsoo, Thathri in Doda district, Farooq Ahmed Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Lower Pocchal, Kishtwar and Masood Mattoo resident of Kishtwar.
They were booked under FIR No. 232 registered at Kishtwar police station under Sections 13, 18, 19, 38 and 39 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
Police and NIA picked up 45 people and questioned them in connection with terror network in Kishtwar and arrested 16 till now, they said. However, hunt for dozen more ultras still continued, they said.
