45 militants waiting to infiltrate: BSF
JAMMU, Oct 3: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Thursday apprehended a suspected Pak intruder from close to the International Border in Kana Chak area of Akhnoor sector.
BSF officials said that the intruder was caught early morning when he was trying to cross into the Indian side. The identity of the arrested person could not be ascertained so far. He was subsequently handed over to the concerned police stations by BSF, where he was being questioned.
“The suspect has been handed over to Jammu and Kashmir Police, investigation is underway,” BSF officials added.
BSF officials claimed that 45 militants were waiting to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir in two different launching pads across the border. They claimed about the presence of two launching pads across the border, where according to them, 45 militants were waiting to infiltrate into Indian territory, 15 on one and 30 on the second launch pad.
BSF officials said, “We are keeping a tight vigil on LoC and International Border, to thwart any attempt of infiltration by the militants, sitting across in a large number looking for an opportunity to cross over.”
“We are ready to face any challenge and we will not allow the militants to succeed in their attempts to disrupt peace in the state,” they added. They further claimed that forces were ready with a plan to thwart attempts of infiltration.
“We will not allow nefarious designs of Pakistan to push militants into this side. We are in a state of highest preparedness and capable to deal with any challenge,” they added.
