Painting competition on energy conservation 2019 organised

JAMMU, Nov 15: The Ministry of Power, Bureau of Energy Efficiency Government of India has launched National Awareness Campaign in order to promote Energy Conservation in the country.
The State Level Painting competition for the school children in two categories i.e. 4th, 5th and 6th standards in category A and 7th, 8th and 9th in category B, has been included as one of the activities to promote awareness on Energy Conservation amongst school children.
NHPC limited has been allocated Jammu and Kashmir State to organize Painting competition at school as well as State Level.
The on- the - spot Painting competition was held on 14th Nov. 2019 at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu in which Arindam Rai Singh of class 6th has won 2nd prize of Rs. 30,000 and Puranjay Goutam of class 7th consolation prize Rs. 7500.
Both the students and Darpan Gupta of class 8th have received participation prize of worth Rs. 2000 each. Arindam Rai Singh has been selected for the National Level Painting competition. Their paintings were selected as the best amongst 34 schools in J&K from amongst 100 students during the school Level Painting competition 2019.
