Dear Editor,
Union Finance minister has reportedly stated that Air India and BPCL are likely to be put on sale an d by doing so it may yield rupees one lakh crore during this fiscal as the successive governments are bent upon selling the most profit earning PSUs just to reverse the economic slowdown. The economic slowdown is in fact due anti people and anti working class policies of exploiting ruling classes.
The Public sector units were setup to throw competition to the private sector and it took lots of time, public money expertise and man power to create the public sector. It may be unwise to sell these PSUs at throw away price. A wise house holder is he who preserve the protect its heritage enriched through hard work and earnings. The employees of telecommunication, banking and other sectors are agitating against the privatization.
The state of Indian economy is very rapidly becoming precarious day by day says the economists. Selling public sector units called “Navratras” of Indian economy is not a wise move by any standard of stability of economy. It may ultimately cause irreparable damage to the growth, development, progress and prosperity of the country which the politicians belonging to the exploiting ruling classes of all hues and shades are sent upon destroying not visualizing far reaching consequences as of now, like this verse “yeh hasher bhi dekha hai tareekh ne ehdon ka lamhon ki khata ki thi sadyon ki saze payee”.
