2 injured in Pak shelling in Uri

SRINAGAR, Dec 13 Two persons were injured when Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to indiscriminate and unprovoked shelling and firing in Uri sector in this north Kashmir district, official sources said on Friday.
They said Pak troops resorted to shelling and firing, targeting forward Army posts and civilian villages at the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector. Two civilians were injured when some shells fell in the civilian areas at village Silikote, Uri. The injured were admitted to hospital, they said adding Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for several hours. Damages suffered by Pak troops was not immediately known, they said.
Recently Pak troops resorted to firing and shelling in Haji Peer sector, targeting about half a dozen villages. However, there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property.
