Javed Anjam Mir passes away

JAMMU, Jan 19: Javed Anjam Mir, former Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Khadi Village Industries Board (KVIB), who also worked as a freelance journalist with ‘Kashmir Times’ Group of Publications, passed away at his residence in Talab Khatikan Sunday morning.
He was 60.
According to family, the death of Javed Anjam Mir, who died of cardiac arrest, came as a deep shock for all in the family. “He slept peacefully as usual last night yet did not get up in the morning. Presumably he suffered heart-attack during sleep,” Shamim Mir, one of his cousins, told KTNS.
His burial, which took place this evening, was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life including KVIB staffers and media-persons, who had gathered to pay last respect to their ex-colleague.
He is survived by his wife Nayyar Mir, two daughters Hina and Sana and mother Salma Mir.
Javed Anjam Mir remained associated with “Kashmir Times”, which he joined in early nineties as a reporter, for nearly two decades as a freelance journalist and also contributed a large number of articles.
The management and staff of Kashmir Times Group of Publications condoled his sad and sudden demise. Fondly recalling some cherished memories with the former colleague, Editor Kashmir Times Prabodh Jamwal and Executive Editor Anuradha Bhasin Jamwal expressed great shock over his sudden, untimely demise and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. They also prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
