65th NSG U-19 Boys Kho-Kho C’ship; Semis line up drawn as Maharashtra, TN, Haryana, Kerala enter last four stage

JAMMU, Feb 7: Semifinals position has been cleared in the ongoing 65th National School Games Under-19 Boys Kho-Kho Championship, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the auspices of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) at Khel Gaon, Nagrota, here.
In the first quarterfinal, Maharashtra defeated Uttar Pradesh by 4 points to seal berth in the semifinals. Dilip Khandvi scored 3 points for Maharashtra.
In another quarterfinal, Tamil Nadu defeated Karnataka in an easy contest. Mageswar A scored 9 points, while Bilal also played well.
In yet another quarterfinal, Haryana scripted a narrow win by 1 point over Andhra Pradesh, thus entered the last four stage.
Ankit Raj and Firaj were the star performers for Haryana.
In the last quarterfinal match, Kerala defeated West Bengal by 4 points to qualify for the semifinals.
Earlier, in the league matches, Haryana thrashed Bihar by 1 innings and 8 points. Abhishek scored maximum 5 points for the winners.
West Bengal defeated Rajasthan by 1 innings and 4 points. Subash Santraput scored 6 points for the winners.
The Championship is being held under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
