Army conducts Chess competition for children of Dharmari

UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: With an aim to bring in communal harmony and to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the children, Army organised a ‘Chess Competition’ for Children at Dharmari.
The competition saw participation from students of Himalayan Public School and Good Will Public School ,Dharmari of Reasi district.
A total of 21 children actively participated with vigour and unbridled enthusiasm. The aim of the event was to develop and motivate the children towards education, sportsmanship and to build competitive spirit among the children for future endeavors.
The event was followed by prize distribution to all the Winners and Runners Ups. The teachers and other opinion makers expressed their gratitude towards the Army for organizing such events and motivating the youth of the region. The event proved to be another milestone in fostering bond of friendship between the local populace and the men in uniform.
