BJP-PDP have nothing common except sharing power: Mir

JAMMU, Mar 26: JKPCC President G A Mir has exhorted upon the youth of the party to expose the unholy alliance of BJP-PDP in the State as both the parties have nothing common except to share power.
Addressing a day-long session of the state youth Congress delegates at Gujjar Nagar Charitable Trust, PCC Chief said that the present dispensation is the combination of the forces which are ideologically poles apart and secured mandate to keep each-others away from power. They promised the people of their respective Constituencies (regions) to check mate the rise of these forces, as being opposed to the interest of people. Surprisingly they surrendered the respective ideologies and issues of people to join hands for the sake of power, which exposed their politics of “opportunism”.
Mir said that both parties are trying to keep the electorate of their respective constituencies engaged in other emotional issues in order to divert the attention of the people from the real issue of their “opportunistic U-Turn”. However the people are wise enough to understand their intentions and realize that they stand exploited during elections.
Lashing out at the BJP which has always exploited the people not only the Jammu region but the entire Country over the issue of Article 370 for the last 67 years,claiming to be following the agenda of Shri Shama Prasad Mukherjee besides their stated positions on the issues of Refugees and border people, have nothing to explain or justify to the people their present position and are hiding themselves under the garb of issuing statements on other issues to divert public attention.
Emphasizing on the role of Youth in the organization, Mir said his series on interactions with different frontal organizations of the party, especially Youth Congress and Seva Dal during two consecutive days have proved that there is lot of talent and potential available with the party to be channelized for further strengthening the organization at grass root levels. He described the frontal organizations as the backbone of the party and exhorted them to work with sincerity and dedication. Stressing upon the need for better coordination, he assured the youth congress leaders to ensure their due share in every matter depending upon feed- back about their merit and discipline in the party.
Earlier leader of CLP Nawang Rigzin Jora appreciated the efforts of the PCC and frontal organizations Youth Congress and Seva Dal for organizing the interactive sessions to ensure better co-ordination in the party. He asked the youth to take upon the responsibility to play the role of a vibrant opposition in the State and expose the unholy and opportunistic alliance of BJP-PDP.
Pradesh Youth Congress President (PYC) Shah Nawaz Choudhary in his address assured the PCC Chief that Youth Congress would represent the voice of youth of three regions in an effective manner. He said that Youth Congress would take upon the challenge to expose communal & divisive forces in order to maintain the secular fabric of the State. He also explained the aspirations of young workers in the party and role played by them in the struggle for strengthening the Panchayat Raj institutions in the state.
All India Youth Congress Secretary Incharge J&K State Uma Shanker Pandey appreciated the PYC Unit for its vital role in three regions of the State and exhorted upon the State Unit to further expand its net work to play the role of a vibrant opposition & reflect the voice of dissent among the youth of the state in a democratic manner.
Earlier President Youth Congress and PYC team felicitated the PCC Chief G A Mir and Nawang Rigzin Jora. A Memento was presented to Ravinder Sharma-MLC on the occasion. Others who attended included Dr. Rashid Choudhary, Pranab Shagotra-PYC Vice President, NSUI All India Secretary Udhey Chib, State NSUI President Neeraj Kundan, Manjit Jatt, Abid Kashmiri, Satish Sharma, Pankaj Basotra and all the presidents of Jammu province.
