NCC units organises get together at Science college

JAMMU, Feb 19: The NCC units of GGM. Science College, Jammu has organised a get together today to showcase the achievements of the NCC cadets of the college for the year 2016-17.
Major General Nilendar Kumar, ADG, NCC was the chief guest on the occasion.
On the occasion, a colourful programme, including Skit, Bhangra, Bailey Dance and Rhythmic yoga was presented by the boy and girl cadets of the college.
While speaking on the occasion, Maj General Nilender Kumar said the youth is full cosmic energy and we need to channelise this energy in a positive way to face the challenges of the world. He stresses the use of positive aspects of social media and warn the cadets to remain away from the negative aspects. He said that our aims to serve mankind with full passion and zeal my adopting new methods as the learning of 21st century is out of classroom.
The welcome address was presented by the Principal of the College, Dr Ajeet Angral, speaking of the occasion he appreciated the cadets for their discipline, dedication and love for the armed forces and the country. He also lauded the role of cadets of the college for their zeal to perform various social activities under the supervision of the ANOs of the college.
A power point presentation was given by cadet Raghu Rai Hastir to highlight the achievements of the NCC units of the college at various levels of State and Nation in the year 2016-17.
Later the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the cadets who excelled at various levels during the year.Cadet Byomukesh Dwivedi was selected as Best Cadet among boys and Cadet Shivani Manhas was selected as Best Cadet among girls for their academic and NCC excellence .
The vote of thanks was presented by the Dr Jagjeet Singh, ANO NCC Boys Bn of NCC of the College.
