Clashes between students, securitymen at Ajas

SRINAGAR, Nov 21: Police and security forces today fired smoke shells at Ajas in Bandipora as they came under stone pelting from students.
Reports said the incident occurred immediately after the 10th class students finished their examination. Officials said after finishing their examination, the students allegedly pelted stones on security men, deployed there.
The security personnel lobbed smoke shells and resorted to lathi charge. Vehicular traffic movement was disrupted on Bandipora-Srinagar highway for some time due to the clashes.
Meanwhile, some bike borne gunmen resorted to firing in air at Hajin area of Bandipora district this evening.
Reports said two bike borne gunmen at Hajin chowk where scores of youth had gathered. The gunmen fled from the spot after firing in air.
