JAMMU, Jan 6: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, senior PDP leader and Member Parliament Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and JKPCC president G A Mir have condemned the Sopore IED blast killing four police jawans today.
Omar tweeted, “Very sad news from #Sopore. May the four brave J&K police personnel killed in the line of duty today rest in peace.”
Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament Muzaffar Hussain Beig, while condemning the killing, said it was highly unfortunate to see these young cops being killed when they were in the line of duty in the town.
He demanded that adequate compensation be sanctioned to the families of the cops killed in the blast.
Beig conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh while condemning blast said such heinous incidents were handiwork of the forces trying to disrupt peaceful environs of the state by carrying out these types of violent activities. While expressing sympathies with the families of the martyred jawans he prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
J&K Congress chief G A Mir condemned the killing and said the incident had exposed the tall claims of Mehbooba government about the Kashmir situation being normal. The central and J&K governments were engaged in concealing the truth, he alleged.
