Traffic on highway disrupted for some time

SRINAGAR, Mar 12: Traffic movement disrupted on Srinagar-Jammu highway for some time due to landslides.
Reports said that the landslides occurred at Maroog Ramban this afternoon.
SSP traffic Sanjay Bhagat said that the work is going on at Maroog and they are expecting restoration in an hour’s time.
Meanwhile, a low-level avalanche warning has been issued for several areas.
Giving details an official spokesman said, “On the basis of information received from SASE, Low danger avalanche warning has been issued for Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali and Kupwara-Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban,Doda, Kishtwar Udhampur, Anantnag, Kulgam, Badgam, Kupwara,Bandipora, Ganderbal Kargil and Leh Districts, Bandipora-Kanzalwan-Gurez sector and Srinagar-Jammu Highway.”
He said people living in these avalanche prone areas have been advised by the Disaster Management Authority to take precautionary measures.
