Secy Sports Council flags off State Sub-junior National Wushu team

JAMMU, Jan 22: Dr Naseem Chowdhary Secretary J&K State sports council today flagged off Sub-junior National Wushu team for the 18th Sub Junior National Wushu to be held at Lovely Professional University Jalandhar (Punjab) from January 22 to 27.
The 44 member (39 players 2 coaches, 2 managers and 1 TO) J&K State wushu team was screened by the J&K State sports council for the participation in the said championship. The championship is being organised by the Punjab wushu Association under the aegis of Wushu Association of India.
Pertinent to mention that in the 17th Sub junior National Wushu championship held at Jammu, J&K state wushu team remained overall second in the championship.
Pertinent to mention here that during the year 2018-19 Senior wushu team remained overall 3rd in the 27th Senior National wushu championship at Shillong whereas the Junior state wushu team bagged 05 medals in the 17th Junior National wushu championship at Tamil nadu.
