2 militants killed in Tral encounter: Police

SRINAGAR, Mar 10: Two militants were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Pinglish area of Tral in south Kashmir' s Pulwama district on Sunday, reports said.
Two militants have been killed and their bodies have been recovered along with as many rifles, news gathering agency GNS quoted a police officer as having said.
The identities of the slain militants are yet to be ascertained, the officer said, adding that searches are still going on in the area.
The gunfight broke out soon after a joint team of army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in the area following inputs about the presence of Jaish-e-Mohammad militants, said the report.
