Dy Chairman Sandup on 6-day Nubra tour

LEH, Nov 15: The Deputy Chairman, LAHDC, Leh Tsering Sandup on the first day of his six days extensive tour of Nubra region visited Thang, Tyakshi, Turtuk, Garadi, Chulungkha, Bogdang, Changmar, Udmaru, Shukur, Horay Chorten and Hundri today and took stock of the progress of ongoing developmental works in these area.
The other purpose of his tour was to meet people and evaluate their issues so that their grievances could be mitigated well in time. Most of the demands put forth by the people included improvement in water supply scheme, road, telecommunication (mobile tower), power and school infrastructures. Other major demands were upgradation of health centre, protection bunds, school upgradation at Garari and construction of Turtuk-Hanu road.
Addressing to the people at these villages, Sandup said that with the attainment of UT status, Ladakh would witness a revolutionary changes in all sphere of development with huge inflow of funds. He assured that all minor and major needs of people at village would be fulfilled and said that LAHDC, Leh would take care of reflecting every genuine demands of the people in coming budget plan. While assessing the demands, Dy. Chairman gave on spot direction to the engineering team to do survey and DPRs of some important projects.
The Dy. Chairman and the team will visit Waris, Fastan, Sunudo, Largyap Yokma, Patsathang, Skuru, Rakuru, Terchey, Skampuk, Partapore, Hunder Dok and Hunder tomorrow.
A team of officers and engineers were accompanying the Dy. Chairman, LAHDC, Leh.
